I had the experience to do research at the Ponce Health Sciences University these past two summers. The research I was a part of was in the field of Fear Conditioning and Extinction. Personally, it was awesome to see how altered protein expression levels in rats could cause testable behavioral results and to understand more about how these two connected. Also, I had a really good experience with the other lab members, I remember they were very helpful and willing to teach. The experience overall lead me to add a minor in Psychology and an interest in a Ph.D.
