Diablo 2: Resurrected Won’t have true ultrawide support since d2r items It’s Breaking The Game. Diablo II: Resurrected’s beta is over and, with only two weeks to go before the full game’s launch, Blizzard offers additional details on certain features, including ultrawide 21:9 monitor support.
Although the game will be suitable for ultrawide monitors however, it will not support the full aspect ratio of 21:9 ultrawide but will instead support 19:9. The support for 21:9 aspect ratio was available as a technical beta in the initial release however, it was cut to 19:9 during the more recent beta, which left many in doubt about the reason.
In the end, there’s a reason behind this limitation: 21:9 makes the game unplayable. Particularly, playing with an aspect ratio that is ultrawide means that players can be attacked from far distances than what the game was originally designed to. The enemies targeted by the extended distance ultrawide monitors offer simply do not recognize that they are being attacked and consequently are unable to react.
“To safeguard the integrity of every player’s experience and to ensure equality for allplayers, those who have ultrawide monitors will be able see their game’s screen increased to 19:9 (the maximum size of the game’s limitation zones) with a vignette positioned on the sides of the monitor,” Blizzard wrote in an official forum blog post. “We know that players have invested an enormous amount of money to put together their 21:9-compatible hardware configurations, and the barred black screens can be very frustrating to their experience. Therefore, we’ll continue follow these discussions and consider options that don’t alter the way that games are played.”
Blizzard also clarified its reasons to remove TCP/IP support which was a feature that Buy D2R items Switch was included in the first Version of Diablo II. This feature was removed due to “enabling major security-related issues” within the game.
