And now we arrive at OSRS gold magic. There is alchemy, naturally. This costs a lot these days, assuming you do not make the nature runes and the items you are alching. Another way of increasing your magic is the slow, dull method of the Mage Training Arena. I’ve done it (made my mage’s book), and it’s alright for low price. It’s very slow, however, and thus boring.
Many mages do NOT utilize battle magic to train; the experience given is awful. Rather they might teleport (very expensive) or”mud staff”. If one”mud staffs” they take plenty of soul runes or body runes and continuously cast it on a target. To prevent it from functioning, they usually wear melee armor to ensure their magical attack lowers to the stage where successfully casting it is impossible. This way is very boring and expensive, but more about the boring side.
With historical magic that the maximum hit with magic is 30 with the level 94 Ice Barrage spell. This spell splashes very frequently even when wearing the best equipment, and is extremely expensive and reasonably slow. On the flip side, it may hit multiple targets; around nine at a time. That is great and cheap RS gold all, but it’s terrible with a one-on-one fight. So terrible, really, that mage stakers (like myself) use ice blitz over barrage since it strikes more frequently.
