The two games are set to debut in 2022 in the form of a board game, with the game coming out via Kickstarter along with the TTRPG going straight to retail OSRS Gold. The games will draw inspiration from experiences, characters and locations from RuneScape’s long and rich heritage of more than 21 years. the board game taking one and five players on quest-based quests through Gielinor.
They’ll make and improve their equipment, upskill their characters and cook up special dishes, engage with NPCs and test their abilities while exploring various regions of the globe, along with many exciting side quests to keep them busy and amuse them along the journey.
The TTRPG will include a gorgeously illustrated, hardback core book containing guidelines for players who want to play an RuneScape tabletop game of roleplaying, where they can create their own characters, discover Gielinor and create unique and exciting quests. The TTRPG core book is also fully compatible with the rules of fifth edition of the roleplaying tabletop game.
